The Mitford Murders by Jessica Fellowes
[[fiction. mystery. historical.]]
The beginning of this book HOOKED me. I wanted to know all the things and I didn't want to stop reading.
The beginning of this book HOOKED me. I wanted to know all the things and I didn't want to stop reading.
Some parts of this story line were messy though. I am not sure if it was on purpose or if the author struggled to string the pieces together neatly for this first installation of the series.
I am also not quite sold on who the main characters actually were. I'll have to see who the rest of the series focuses on.
In the end, none of that mattered. I stayed highly invested throughout the book. The characters played well off each other, the mystery was solved in a way I wanted it to be (with an added twist I did NOT see coming), and I can't wait to read the next one.
